I have had some success with acai berry. I do agree that it is probably better than red wine and has fewer calories. I use them in smoothies as well.
I have read up about these antioxidants and how they can give us so many health benefits. It can be very off putting because there are so many different supplements and combinations of extracts etc. For someone who is still confused about the whole anti aging and weight loss supplements business, why would anyone choose acai over resveratrol and even that new berry called Maqui that is supposed to have 3 or 4 times the antioxidants in them that acai?
One reason why antioxidants are good for energy is that they help the mitochondria, which are the energy factories in our cells, function better by mopping up the free radicals created from energy production

Acai berry has been a life saver for me. I’ve been using these supplements since December and boy am I impressed with the results! I’ve lost well over 27 lb’s and counting. Loving it!
Like red wine, Açaí berries are rich in vitamins and nutrients and have powerful antioxidants. However I do believe that evidence does suggest that Acai is much better. After taking it I felt my energy increase and it aided me in digestion. This helped me keep up an exercise program which in conjunction with a low fat diet did help me lose some weight. So instead of drinking red wine with more calories, I choose Acai.

I usually have a glass of wine myself to help get antioxidants, however the acai berry sounds like something I would probably benefit more from taking over a glass of wine a day.
